Emotional abuse is the least reported form of abuse, however, it is the most prevalent. Why? Because it is so intensely difficult to prove that a child or adult has been emotionally abused. There is no physical proof of it occurring, only psychological, and because the brain is not understood the way it should be, many times emotional abuse is not discovered or reported.
